Private Parts & Pieces XII

Esce Private Parts & Pieces XII: The Golden Hour. Per i numerosissimi fans di Anthony Phillips (e non soltanto), questa release discografica ha un notevole significato. Non fosse altro perché ogni nuova proposta musicale del talentuoso chitarrista britannico, “maestro” della 12 corde, racchiude in se qualcosa di speciale. Ed anche in questo nuovo capitolo della lunga collezione di Private Parts & Pieces, non mancano gli elementi che hanno reso grande la musica di Anthony Phillips negli anni. Atmosfere intimistiche, melodie, armonie ed arpeggi, uno standard qualitativo nell’interpretazione a dir poco imbattibile. Non è un mistero che le opere di questo musicista (membro fondatore e mastermind dei primi Genesis), abbiano sempre sorpreso e affascinato il pubblico degli intenditori per qualità e creatività. Private Parts & Pieces XII: The Golden Hour non fa eccezione e lo dimostra da subito il debut single Twilight of a Diva è già altamente visualizzato sulle piattaforme digitali.

Lo straordinario lavoro di Anthony Phillips per Private Parts & Pieces XII: The Golden Hour

Il cd, annunciato da Esoteric Antenna, esce a distanza di qualche anno dallo scorso album della serie Private Parts & Pieces. Il precedente, infatti, è stato City Of Dreams che risale al 2012. Potete da soli immaginare l’entusiasmo per The Golden Hour che rappresenta una nuova uscita solista di Phillips dopo cinque anni. Per i 21 pezzi di PP&P XII: The Golden Hour, il mitico chitarrista ha fatto praticamente tutto da solo. Ha suonato la chitarra ovviamente, ma anche le tastiere, ha cantato, ha composto tutti i vari pezzi e li ha anche prodotti. Un’eccezione è data dalla presenza di un unico special guest, ovvero il chitarrista Quique Berro Garcia. Il musicista aveva già collaborato in passato con Anthony Phillips dimostrando con lui grande affinità professionale.

Tra i brani più evocativi dell’album dobbiamo sottolineare la suite, divisa in quattro parti, Wychmore Hill più una versione vocale di Roads In Between. Anthony Phillips descrive The Golden Hour come un disco molto tradizionale nell’ambito della collezione Private Parts & Pieces. Con brani vecchi e dal background disparato che però, si spera, riescono a creare un insieme molto coeso.

The release of Private Parts & Pieces XII: The Golden Hour

Esoteric Antenna are pleased to announce the release of Ant’s new album Private Parts & Pieces XII: The Golden Hour.  The Golden Hour is the first new volume in the long-running Private Parts & Pieces series since City of Dreams in 2012 and Ant’s first new solo album release in five years. The album features some beautiful and evocative pieces including the four-part ‘Wychmore Hill Suite’ and a vocal version of ‘Roads In Between’. It also includes guest appearances on two tracks by guitarist Quique Berro Garcia, who has contributed to previous volumes in the Private Parts & Pieces series including Antiques, Slow Waves Soft Stars and Dragonfly Dreams.
